OUR MISSION

Grace Life Bible Fellowship has been called, anointed, and purposed by God to serve the world for His glory. We dedicate and covenant, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to fulfill this overarching mandate of mission and vision as a sacrifice, by faith, to our sovereign God in Christ Jesus.  Below, we seek to provide a biblical argument for abiding by the life principles of our mission/vision statement: Growing Gracefully in God through Employing Godliness, Experiencing Grace, and Exhibiting Growth. It is our heartfelt endeavor, as we develop in our faith, to make this mission a real and living reality of our daily lives.

Employing Godliness—Exercising a willing and committed submission to the control and guidance of God the Holy Spirit through obedience, purpose, reverence, and character development by:

  1. Demonstrating Godly Lifestyles — Rom. 12:1-2; James 1:22; Eph. 4:20-24; 1 John 2:6
  2. Discerning life in accordance to God's commands—Jer. 29:11; 1 Tim. 2:3—4; 1 Thes. 4:3; Heb. 13:20—21
  3. Discovering contentment in living out biblical and spiritual truth— Phil. 4:12; 1 Tim. 6:6
  4. Discipline in relationships and engagements - 1 Tim. 4:6—10
  5. Denouncing Ungodly Activities— Tit. 2:11—13

Experiencing Grace— Experientially practicing a life of divine favor through the appropriation of developing and emerging giftedness, freely given by God, based on the unmerited kindness, sacrifice, and love of Jesus Christ.  We believe that this experiential grace works in the life of the believer to produce:

Spiritual awareness—Ps. 146:8; Is. 35:5; 2 Kings 6:17; John 1:17; 1 Cor. 6:9; 2 Cor. 4:6; Eph. 2:8; 2 Pet. 3:1—18

  1. Spiritual giftedness—Rom. 12; 1 Cor. 12; Eph. 4:7; 1 Pet. 4
  2. Spiritual regeneration—Jhn. 1:12—13; 3:3; Eph. 2:1; Col. 2:13; Tit. 3:4-7
  3. Spiritual empowerment/enablement—Acts 11:15-17; 1 Cor. 15:10: James 4:6
  4. Spiritual righteousness - Matt. 15:19; Lk. 3:7—9;  5:30-32 ; 15:7; 18:9 ; 2 Cor. 5:12

Exhibiting Growth - The development and exhibition of maturity through demonstrated Godliness, grace, and gratitude with a heart and commitment reflecting thanksgiving. We believe that the Christian who faithfully commits to demonstrate growth, does so by actively:

  1. Exhibiting Maturity—2 Cor. 7:1; Eph. 1:17—18; Phil. 1:9– 11; 3:13—15; Col. 2:6—7
  2. Evangelizing as Ministry—Psalms 96:3; Matt. 24:14; 28:18—20; Mark 13:10; 16:15; 1 Cor. 3:1—3
  3. Engaging in Missions—1 Chron. 16:24; Acts 1:8; 13:2—3, 47; Rom. 10:13—14; 2 Thes. 1:3; Rev. 14:6
  4. Empowering the Marginalized - Deut. 31:6; Rom. 14:19; 15:1; 14; Gal. 6:1 –2; 1 John 4:4
  5. Existing with Mankind—Mk 9:50; Rom. 12:18; 1 Cor. 2:6; Col. 1:9-10; 1 Thes. 5:13; Heb. 12:14; 2 Pet. 3:17—18
